Celestine North lives in a society that demands perfection. After she was branded Flawed by a morality court, Celestine’s life has completely fractured, all her freedoms gone.
At the start of this year I read Flawed by Cecelia Ahern and found it surprisingly enjoyable. While a lot of the plot is taken from The Hunger Games, it’s a more girly swing on the genre. Perfect is the follow up novel and second half of the series which sees our heroine Celeste take on more of a active role and the tension really piled one.
An easy but enjoyable read with enough original content to keep me reading, I found myself surprised by how much I enjoyed both this and the first novel Flawed. Definitely worth a read on the plane if you’re heading anywhere this summer.
3 and a half stars.
